There are some invalid items coming from somewhere. Items like Book of Thoth, Book of Lycanthropy, Falcons Cloak, Philosophers Stone, and Hide of the Leviathan. If you have any of these items, keep them in your inventory and dont touch them. If you're confident you know where one of these items came from, post in the forums. Its somewhere in our P&S Code but I am having a problem finding where. Thanks. Nikita.

Greetings Immortals we have a different kind of event for you today. Its called Panic & Splurge!
Panic & Splurge is all about surprises so when you find that something may have gone wonky dont panic...or maybe do panic yeah, but know that its part of the event so have fun with it!
You will also want to keep your eyes peeled for opportunities to Splurge on flash sales and high ticket BR and RR tourneys. Setting aside your squires and doing your dailies by hand today would be of benefit so you dont miss the changes and taking a break from training today would also be a good idea.
To cap off the day and offer a memento of the event we have a donator pack on sale with a Panic Button icon and a couple of really cool items inside Dragon Adrenaline and Dragon Melatonin. Click on the Donator Packs link to see the details on these rare and useful items that are on sale today only.
We hope you have a bunch of fun alternately Panicking and Splurging your brains out today. There are a lot of changes throughout the game so if you encounter something and are really unsure if thats the way its supposed to go, use the Bugs forum. Please do not mail admin privately.

So I was testing some special event programming and a significant error was encountered. All players had their Armors erased. I pulled a backup from five hours ago to replace everyone's armor. Anyone who changed armor in the last 5-6 hours may have an issue. This includes players removing armor, equipping new armor, etc. If you were active during this time, please take a look at your armor. If you feel there is a specific problem, email me with specifics and I will look into individual accounts as needed. This includes if you are missing items or if you have items you should not have. I know people don’t typically change their armor every day, so hopefully only a small number of Immortals will have additional issues.

Immortals - The new hard drives are in place and the game is back online as you can see. Hopefully these drive swaps will resolve all the issues we've been having.
The game server we use is hosted in a data center. As a result, I (Nikita) only have the ability to resolve issues when the server is online. Basically, I can handle software issues. When we have hardware issues, we are at the mercy of the tech support at the data center which the server is located. One of these Techs, Travis has helped us countless times including yesterday. Since I was unavailable for the hard drive swap Saturday, Travis volunteered to work on his day off to help us with our drives on Sunday. Travis is very smart, extremely helpful, and just knowing he is assigned to our tickets makes my stress drop in half. For those of you who have Liked Immortal Night on Facebook, I request that you go to the Immortal Night Facebook page, find my post about Travis there, and leave a comment thanking him for all his help. Although he has no ties to Immortal Night, he treats it as importantly as I do. If we can get a few dozen Thank Yous for him (on our Facebook page), I am sure it would make his day.

Okay. Lets get these troubles behind us. At 2:20AM I am going to take the game offline to replace the failing hard drive(s). I do not have a firm estimate on how long we will be offline. Roughly speaking, 20 minutes to export the database. A bit of time to swap the drives. 60-90 Minutes (Estimated, it could easily take longer) to restore the server's backup. Then another 30-45 minutes to re-import the database. So it will not be a quick process, but it definitely needs to be done. Nikita

Update: We will be doing the server maintenance around 2:30 Game Time this afternoon. I will give another announcement just prior to the downtime. Again, sorry for the delay in this fix but it could not be helped. Have a great Sunday. Nikita
