August 23 2011 3:35:49 pm	Immortals - Things have definitely improved over the last few days and I believe most the issues are behind us, so thats a good thing. I did just remember I forgot one minor change I needed to make. Normally its the type of change I would make, not say anything, and hardly anyone would even notice. But given recent events, I thought it was best to give everyone a heads up, so they dont think there is a larger issue at foot. I need to make a quick tweek to the users table and will do so at 3:45pm. You wont notice any difference, but the game may hang for a minute while I do it. So now you know, no lag issues, just a minor adjustment I need to make. Go Team Nikita!

I'm still working, and like the other day, I need to restart mysql, which will likely slow things down for a bit. As I am still working.... well just to be safe, just assume there may be some performance issues until 6pm Server time. We're very close to being back where we need to be. August 20 2011 5:08:49 pm	Ok sooo, you ever have one of those weeks where whenever you try and do something, something goes wrong? We are having one of those. Looks like we have lost some recent mails while trying to do some table cleanups to make the game more efficient. We apologize profusely for this inconvenience. Please know that Everyone is affected, including staff. If you sent a mail and do not see a reply that is why. For those of you who are new to IN, please be assured that the hiccups over the last week are the exception and not the normal state of affairs here. On IN we try to take situations that are a bit of a bummer and have some fun with them, so please see the General Discussion thread titled QUICKSAND to share some of your Doh! moments and maybe get a little fun prize for your efforts. As we continue to work to improve on a few lingering performance issues, I wanted to announce that we will be having some more lag over the next, 10-20 minutes I reckon while I do some maintenance. So be careful what you are doing should you have a problem connecting for a minute here or there. I promise the site will not go down, we know what happened before and it can certainly be avoided. August 18 2011 1:49:18 pm	Hello there fabulous Immortals As you may have noticed the site had a few issues last night and we had to roll the game back to the backups made at 1pm yesterday (the 17th). At this point nearly everything that can be corrected, has been. Interest has run, schooling and dailies have been moved forward and reset. Most importantly, ALL Donation transactions have been processed! If you made a donation yesterday and you do not see your items have been credited to you, please mail NIKITA [1] and she will help you out as soon as possible. For a bit of fun we have decided to make I survived the August 17, 2011 IN Rollback buttons in a very limited quantity. There will only be about 30 of them ingame and there are a few ways to try and get your claws on them... - First, there is a raffle of 20 of them taking place today. Tickets are $25K each and you can purchase up to 100 of them. - Second, over the next 24 hours a total of 5 buttons will be given out to the first person to respond correctly to TWITTER postings in game mail to KANINE [3] - Third, 5 times throughout the day the question... Who survived the August 17, 2011 IN Rollback? will be posted on the IN Facebook page. The first to respond, I SURVIVED!, to VIOLET [2] in game mail each time will receive a button. August 18 2011 3:16:28 am	Immortals - So there is a bit of bad news. Earlier this evening, while trying to remove old, unused, level 1 accounts, the users table became corrupted. The Immortal Night tech team worked as hard as possible for over 5 hours trying to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, all attempts proved futile and the corruption was not repairable. As a result, we had to rollback the game to a restore point that was timestamped 1 PM August 17th. The restore, due to additional complications, took another couple hours. In addition to the downtime, roughly 7 hours of play were lost. Anything you bought during that period, you no longer have. Anything you used or money you spent during that time, you have back. If this does not make sense, I am sure there will be discussins in the forums and someone can explain to you. If you played Immortal Night during the lost hours, we're sorry. Your accounts are, technically, no better or no worse than you were mid-day on the 17th. That said, its late, we're tired, we need some sleep. It will be later on in the day before we can get everything resolved so please remain patient. Interest wasnt given, Auctions didnt run, Etc. Donations paid during this period will be corrected and manually processed later today. In the mean time, however, please be patient with us. We will get everything squared away as soon as possible and will discuss how we can make it up to you. Thank you for your understanding. Sorry for the problem.
