August 18 2011 3:16:28 am	Immortals - So there is a bit of bad news. Earlier this evening, while trying to remove old, unused, level 1 accounts, the users table became corrupted. The Immortal Night tech team worked as hard as possible for over 5 hours trying to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, all attempts proved futile and the corruption was not repairable. As a result, we had to rollback the game to a restore point that was timestamped 1 PM August 17th. The restore, due to additional complications, took another couple hours. In addition to the downtime, roughly 7 hours of play were lost. Anything you bought during that period, you no longer have. Anything you used or money you spent during that time, you have back. If this does not make sense, I am sure there will be discussins in the forums and someone can explain to you. If you played Immortal Night during the lost hours, we're sorry. Your accounts are, technically, no better or no worse than you were mid-day on the 17th. That said, its late, we're tired, we need some sleep. It will be later on in the day before we can get everything resolved so please remain patient. Interest wasnt given, Auctions didnt run, Etc. Donations paid during this period will be corrected and manually processed later today. In the mean time, however, please be patient with us. We will get everything squared away as soon as possible and will discuss how we can make it up to you. Thank you for your understanding. Sorry for the problem.

August 11 2011 6:35:49 pm	Chat is back online. Sorry the hosting company is having some seriously bad luck lately. The real reason I am posting, however, is that for the next, I dont know, 5-15 minutes I am going to be tinkering with the chat a bit, so dont get worried if things act weird during that time. You might even want to steer clear for just a bit longer, but its your call. :D Nikita
August 10 2011 11:31:17 pm	Hello Folks. For those of you who use the game chat, we do have one lingering technical problem as a result of todays earlier issues with the hosting company. If you start noticing anything weird with your pages when not in chat, make sure you check your browser location bar and make sure it is saying www.immortalnight.com and not chat.immortalnight.com. If you have problems, and it says chat.immortalnight.com, try changing your URL bar back to www. If you need further clarification, use the forums, I am sure someone will be able to answer your questions. It will likely take a while to get the kinks worked out, but its not a major thing so its not the end of the world. Most people will not even notice. Good Evening. Nikita
August 10 2011 6:28:21 pm	Immortals - As many of you know, Chat has been offline for a while now. Those of you who read the bugs forum know, the hosting company for that server has had major issues today. Currently, they are estimating another 1.5 hours of downtime. Naturally, this is just an estimate and you never know with this sort of thing. They are trying to put in a temporary solution to a big problem, so chances are, at some point, there may be additional downtime on the chat server while they put in place a more permanent fix. This will be the last announcement on the topic, keep an eye on the Bugs Forum for any additional information.
August 3 2011 8:07:30 pm	Hey Again. I think performance has been improving but I still dont feel we are there quite yet. At 8:15pm I am going to restart the database process to activate a minor change. The restart itself takes like 20 seconds, but there will likely be 10 or so minutes of excessive lag while the database indexes rebuild. Nikita
August 2 2011 11:18:10 pm	I dont want to spam everyone with announcements, but at the same time I want to keep you informed. Apparently the work I announced earlier this afternoon has not yet been done. But again, it looks like it should be done "soon" as in within the next hour or two hopefully If it happens to interfere with the midnight processing, please remain patient. Thanks. Nikita
August 2 2011 5:01:57 pm	Immortals - I just gave approval for the server techs to make some changes, and reboot the server. I dont have an exact time on when they will be doing this, although I imagine it will be soon. I wanted to give a heads up that there may be some connectivity issues while they do this work, so do not be surprised. I would recommend being cautions on what activities you do over the next few hours, nothing such interruptions may occur. Nikita

July 27 2011 3:08:28 pm	We wanted to make another announcement concerning the issues of today. We believe most of the problems are behind us for now. I will caution that there are still lingering issues that have, for lack of a better wording, been swept under the rug for a bit. At some point we will have to address them, but hopefully at that time we will be able to provide more notice to the players. Again, we understand the frustrations of the players and we appreciate your understanding when problems such as these occur without notice. Fortunately such occasions are rare. IN Staff
